![]() Mark Herbrich P.T., M.A. is co-Founder of AgeWell Physical Therapy and Wellness, P.C. He received his Masters Degree in Physical Therapy in 1995 from Touro College in Dix Hills NY. He practiced physical therapy for three years at Jamaica Hospital in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings, in acute care and in the James Brady Traumatic Brain Injury Unit. He practiced in an inpatient rehabilitation setting at Grace Plaza Rehabilitation Center in Great Neck and as Physical Therapy Supervisor for six years at Sun Harbor Manor in Roslyn Heights. Winthrop University Hospital Home Health Agency in Mineola provided Mr. Herbrich with the opportunity to treat patients in the home setting. Mr. Herbrich is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and its Private Practice and Geriatric Sections, the Senior Umbrella Network of Nassau, and of the New Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce. |
![]() Elizabeth Gallegra is a licensed occupational therapist. She received her Master of Science degree in occupational therapy from Springfield College in Massachusetts. She worked at New York University Medical Center, Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine since graduating in 1999. Mrs. Gallegra is A-One certified and has been trained in Functional Tone Management through use of the Saebo Flex. Mrs. Gallegra has worked at AgeWell since March, 2006. |
![]() Risa Halpern received her degree in physical therapy from SUNY Downstate Medical Center and is a licensed P.T. in New York. She began her career at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in 1982, after which she helped develop and manage Plus One Physical Therapy in lower Manhattan for 12 years. During that time, Mrs. Halpern focused her continuing education on orthopedics, sports medicine and manual therapy. She has been practicing at AgeWell since April, 2006. |
![]() Marlene Barrett Ragkaswar received her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Occupational Therapy from Dominican College of Blauvelt in Rockland County, NY. Marlene began her career treating patients in a sub-acute setting at Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation in New Hyde Park, NY. In addition to working at AgeWell, she is currently on staff treating patients in an acute care setting at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Marlene is active in the American Occupational Therapy Association and the New York State Occupational Therapy Association and in her free time enjoys playing tennis with her family. |
![]() Jonathan Belmonte received his Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac University. He played varsity lacrosse in college. Mr. Belmonte is furthering his studies in the field of manual therapy and physical fitness as they pertain to the geriatric population. |
![]() Elaine Maresca is the office manager at AgeWell. She helps to keep the office well organized and efficient. She is always happy to entertain any questions our clients may have. She enjoys traveling, reading, bowling and tennis. |
![]() Anca Toma graduated Summa Cum Laude from Nassau Community College and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and Sports. She competed professionally in track and field in Romania and continues to be an active runner. Anca is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. |
